Every year there is an abundance of yoga gifts for the yogi on your list. This year is no exception. Whether your yogi is your love, your mom, your teacher or yourself there is something here for everyone. Plus, I love to support smaller yogi-owned businesses.
Here are my current favorite five gift ideas that yogi would be happy to receive:
1.) VKeen yoga pants. Have you seen these amazing duds on the likes of Ana Forrest? Victoria Keen pants are made with intricate designs the artist herself creates and then has translated into fabric. They are like no pants you will see anywhere! These pants are super soft and hug your legs. They fit like a dream and the best part is the rushed lower legs, which make them perfect for post-yoga pairing with boots or cool shoes. Everyone will want to know where you got them and will be green with envy that you look so hip.
2.) Jen Stock Ganesha & moonstone mala. OMGanesha this mala is incredible! It has the most amazing Ganesha pendant combined with one of my favorite healing stones, moonstone. Moonstone is great for bringing manifestation and bringing good luck and Ganesha keeps all the obstacles away. What a perfect mala to help you make 2013 the best year yet! If Ganesha is not your thing, Jen Stock also has some very cool silver Om rings and other malas/necklaces.
3.)Chocoveda Chakra Box. Recent studies have shown that people who eat dark chocolate are happier and I know it has that effect upon me! I also am a student of anything related to the chakras, those seven energy centers in our body that can affect how we move and groove in life. So imagine my surprise when I discovered this collection of dark chocolate truffles that has flavors coordinating with each of the seven chakras. These chocolates are dairy-free (so good for your vegan yogis) and all natural with 70% dark chocolate. Yum!
4.) Foundation Collection Bakasana T-shirt. If your yogi is a male then the choices are equally great if you visit Foundation Collection’s website. These small batch made t shirt and pants are a beautiful combination of art and yogic principles. This Bakasana t shirt is not only comfy but a real work of art at the same time. Cooler still is that few of these shirts are made so your yogi will maintain his unique vibe and will not have to worry that everyone will look exactly like him in class.
5.) Yoga Class Gift Certificate. Going to yoga classes is such a gift. So, why not treat your own yogi to some classes for themselves? A gift certificate to their favorite studio or online yoga class website would be a perfect way to show you care.
Giving is a great way to tap into that fourth chakra and show the yogi in your life that you care.
