How grateful I am for connections with other yogis and writers in cyberspace! I have made some incredible friends, some terrific writing connections and even have some business partners that I have met through social media. Our personal and professional relationships are no longer confined to the towns in which we live and I feel so grateful for that fact.
This week #2 of my gratitude month I am celebrating the writing of one of my fellow yoga teacher/writer pals with whom I have connected via Facebook and Twitter. Shari Hochberg is a yoga teacher in Italy who runs yoga retreats and also writes for various sites including Mind Body Green. Shari has written a fun and engaging book about her transformation from advertising agency employee to her current life as a yogi in Italy. Her story has awkward and lovely moments and ultimately has the feel of that phoenix rising from the ashes to spread its wings again. You want to cheer for her on her adventures, and emphasize with her during her trials. It’s a great read for the long plane or car trip to grandma’s house for Thanksgiving, or perhaps en route to your very first yoga retreat. During this second week I will be giving away a copy of Shari’s really enjoyable book.
